Smooth animations update [8.20]

Dear Players,

This update introduces smoother animations for player and monster outfits, adjustments to hunting zones, and tweaks to party experience bonuses. We've also included various fixes and other improvements to enhance your gameplay experience, including changes to burst arrows.

The following changes were made after the server save:

Smooth animations:

Keep in mind some monsters do not yet have smooth animations as we will be reworking their visuals in near future.

  • Reworked player and monster outfits with smoother animations.

Miscellaneous changes:

  • Bonus experience in party with shared experience enabled is now capped at 60% with 5 players in party, compared to 75% with 6 players in party.
  • Bonus spawn rate of monsters killed by a party with shared experience enabled is now capped at 78% with 4 players in party, compared to 88% with 5 players in party.
  • Replaced dark elves with normal elves.
  • Corpses of phantom elite creatures now also have shader.
  • On optional-PvP worlds shooting burst arrows and small explosive runes on a target in melee range of a selected creature (with blue outline) will center the attack on selected creature instead of targetted creature.
  • Added an option in Game settings to toggle off automatically placing money into the pouch when selling items via module.
  • Updated price of premium scrolls in the in-game Store.
  • Corpses of havoc apostle and abysmor now decay faster.
  • Added a cancel button in dungeon ready check window.
  • Flamethrower trap found for example in Magma Lair dungeon, now deals slightly more damage.
  • Ownership of Demon Slayer outfit now allows free travel in Sheol with NPC Dead Ferryman.
  • It is no longer possible to sell spears to NPCs.
  • Decreased learn cost of Great Light spell from 200 gold to 100 gold.
  • Added NPC Randy on the northern side of Abukir desert, which now allows two-way travel.
  • Shared experience condition check now takes into account a synced level to allow shared experience to be active in dungeons in a party with high level difference.
  • It is now possible to charge emberwake ring using souls even if the ring is not fully discharged.
  • It is now possible to charge ring of purity using black crystals even if the ring is not fully discharged.
  • It is now possible to use blessed sigil on scarf and platinum amulet.
  • Cayman's Emeralds quest now requires level 10 to be completed.
  • Lighthouse Quest quest now requires level 15 to be completed.
  • Updated dungeon finder icon in game client's top bar.
  • Staff from Wizard outfit has been separated from the base outfit and added as addon 1.
  • Sword from Duke outfit has been separated from the base outfit and added as addon 1.
  • Shield from Duke outfit has been separated from the base outfit and added as addon 2.
  • Expanded "Duke's Shining Armor" quest.
  • Increased Poison Resistance property of terra legs from 2% to 3%.
  • Bear mother now drops giant bear claw instead of bear claw. The bear claw is now required for one of the missions on Novus.

Hunting zone changes:

  • Added a new hunting zone Corrupted Mittenhoff (Aividem): oathbreakers [new], umbral wyverns [new].
  • Changed crystal cooldown in Blighted Mines (Mittenhoff) from 750 seconds to 440 seconds. Updated loot table of blighted dwarf and blighted dwarf champion with a new item drop.
  • Added a radiant phoenix [new] in Temple of Radiance (Cirone) hunting zone. Radiant phoenix counts towards phoenix task.
  • Reworked Chaos Hydra hunting zone. Chaos hydra now has lowered health and loot by roughly 40%, lower spawn time and there is a variety of monsters in the hunting zone.
  • Reworked Church of Anchegul hunting zone. Decreased health and loot of creatures by about 40%, increased density of monsters and decreased spawn time. Special attacks execute more often.
  • Abysmors are no longer immune to energy damage. Havoc apostles now have 15% weakness to energy damage.
  • Decreased experience yielded by ember djinns from 8100 to 6950 experience points (-15%).
  • Updated visibility of spectralist's casting Soul Union attack. Spectralists now have 25% more health but also 25% weakness to energy damage.
  • Reworked Spectral Archon damage and attack cast rate to slightly increase combo and decrease damage per second.
  • Changed the entrance to labyrinth within the Sphinx Tomb.
  • Changed blood sphinx spawn time from 700s to 880s.
  • Moved wolframite ore in Church of Anchegul.
  • Added more stone ground and lava cracks to the ancient dragon spawn to make it more visually appealing.
  • Removed most fire fields and added more molten rock instead of lava cracks in the dreadlord spawn to make it more visually appealing.
  • Made changes to Wild Grove (Lucindel) hunting zone. Replaced some feralwood druids with bear spirits, which are now killable with fire.
  • Feralwood druids now yield 28500 experience points instead of 33000 experience points but spawn time was changed from 740 seconds to 600 seconds.
  • Feralwood druids single target attack now deals slightly more damage.
  • Feralwood druid's wild growth attack now has more breakable wild growths and delay before the first damaging attack is now increased from 1 second to 3 seconds.
  • Feralwood druid's Nature Storm cast time was decreased from 3 seconds to 1.5 seconds.
  • Adjusted spawn timer on one of the boggle hunting zones in Falcon to match experience of the other hunting zone.

Fixed an issues where:

  • bags on optional-PvP game worlds would not be shown in loot windows.
  • skinning pouch, fishing net and mining pouch had a limit of 20 occupied slots.
  • using Cleanse or Mass Cleanse spell under the effects of a divine flame would cleanse most buffs and debuffs.
  • dice's weight was not updated properly after the latest patch.
  • fight music in Frozen Palace would not play properly.
  • some Novus creatures would appear twice in Bestiary or not appear at all.
  • plagueworm could be blocked by items, such as parcels and boxes.
  • flamethrower trap found for example in Magma Lair dungeon would deal much more damage to players with mana shield active.
  • some bestiary entries would not open when having more than 256 elite boosters active.

Burst arrows:

  • Updated burst arrow damage formula.
  • Shooting burst arrows can now proc weapon attributes.
  • Burst arrows now have 5 attack value.
  • Burst arrows now now use distance ammo damage formula, but dexterity bonus is 20% as efficient.
  • Burst arrows damage now also scales with spellpower, with 20% efficiency of small explosive runes.

House fixes:

  • Osaris 2, Flat 5 - fixed a corner wall that was not hangable.
  • Cirone Sanctuary - fixed walls that weren't part of the house.
  • Blocked ll temple street houses in Eschen from items being thrown on top of them.

Novus changes:

  • Added an 1 additional Jaguar.
  • Changed loot of Jaguar slightly.
  • NPC Lee'delle can now enhance mining pouch and skinning pouch.

It's the same silly walking animation as modern Tibia, it looks like characters are riding an invisible bicycle. I hate it.

I can see how some think the new improved walking animation is done well, but personally i feel motionsick watching it bounce up and down and preferred the fast feet which felt smoother to me.
