The long awaited item balance update, vocation balance update and experience formula change update has been released. Today we can check out another three entries from our roadmap, that can be found on our Discord server.
Over the past few days, you had the opportunity to participate in a test server where you helped us discover and address several issues. Your feedback has been invaluable, and as a result, we have made numerous adjustments, fixes, and implemented new ideas into the game.
We would like to express our gratitude to the players who helped accelerate the progress of our developers. Players who assisted us with the test server and provided their invaluable feedback and helped discover bugs and other issues.
All three of these updates are interconnected. In order to implement the item balance update, we had to balance all vocations and formulas accordingly. In short, a portion of the power previously gained from leveling has been transferred to items and skills, making equipment and fighting skills more significant when it comes to damage or healing.
The experience formula change has allowed us to remove the so-called soft level cap, which was initially implemented as a temporary solution to prevent characters from becoming overly powerful due to insufficient experience differences at higher levels.
The new experience formula speeds up the leveling process until around level 300. Beyond that point, leveling becomes more challenging, which aligns with our goal of avoiding issues with overly powerful characters in the future. Level still accounts for most of the damage or heal you deal, but part of that was transferred to gear and skills, as we have explained before.
Even though the test server has been closed, we encourage you to continue providing your feedback on our Discord server. We are open to discussions and further changes or adjustments if necessary.
