Dear players
The game has been updated to version 6.30. Please restart your game clients for a mandatory update! This update is focused around major changes of vocations and items.
The following changes were made as of today's server save:
Eternum store rune charges
As previously stated in the launch thread of the Eternum game world on our forum, we have made adjustments to the store rune charges rate after another 30 days have passed since the launch, increasing it from 2.6x to 3.0x.
This means that runes bought from the store now come with more charges for the same price.
For example, amount of rune charges of sudden death rune that costs 20 Medivia Coins has been increased:
- from 273 charges (2.6x rate) to 315 charges (3.0x rate) on Eternum game world.
This was the final adjustment of store rune charges on Eternum game world.
Miscellaneous changes
- Increased amount of locations where monsters are teleported to when trying to pass through an area protected by guards in Zarrith.
- Hassan and Bedhin no longer accept store bought and used runes, only runes with original amount of charges.
- Decreased Gorgon's 'Stoneskin' abiility range from maximum monster range to 4 tiles.
- Fire missile effect of an attack casted by hellfire summoned with an enhanced version of the doomcaller now is shot from hellfire's position instead of player's position.
- When mail is sent, a sender and a receiver will now be notified about the mail.
- It is now possible to gain skill tries of cooking and mining skills within no-logout zones.
- It is now possible to walk through walls of fire in the Black Castle in Sheol at any time, even if respective boss has not been slain that day.
- Desert Dungeon Quest is now available only for players with premium account status.
- Dialogue option now appears when right-clicking NPCs with multiple types of offers, such as trading, crafting, spell learning, travelling.
- God's Wrath attribute now removes status applied by Berserk attribute and vice-versa.
- Upon entering Tenebraex boss fight arena, NPC Shadow Lady is now removed from the arena.
- Tutorial popup after killing a rat no longer appears when character's level is higher than 30.
- Synced level is now displayed in tooltip when inspecting a player with synced level.
- Removed possibility to summon event version of monsters, for example halloween version of a troll.
Dungeon related changes
- Daily dungeon entry count and limit is now displayed in 'Dungeon Finder' and 'Dungeon Entrance' modules.
- Ores mined within a dungeon will now be sent in reward bag of after completing a dungeon.
- Added two safe places within the 'Barrel Slide' zone in 'Crystal Mines Brewery' dungeon.
- Changed placement of group of creatures spawning next to stairs leading out of 'Giant Beer Barrel' in 'Crystal Mines Brewery' dungeon.
Changed how Zorak's statue mechanic is now resolved:
- Now up to 3 players will receive an elemental debuff.
- Affected players must now click the correct statue in order to remove the debuff status.
- Correct statue is a statue with the same element as yours (e.g. fire debuff: statue by lava pool).
- Other parts of this mechanic work the same as before.
Game client changes
- Replaced 'Fist Fighting', 'Club Fighting', 'Sword Fighting', 'Axe Fighting' with 'Melee' in Skills window.
- Renamed 'Distance Fighting' to 'Distance' in Skills window.
- Renamed 'Shielding' to 'Blocking' in Skills window.
- Added 'Ignore attributed items' checkbox to NPC trading module. When checked, it won't be possible to sell items with any attributes.
Cooking related changes
- Removed additional meal chance cap.
- All additional meals are now account soulbound. This means all characters on the account can use the meals.
Experience formula changes
- Changed experience formula used to calculate level of characters.
- Level of all characters has been adjusted to new formula.
- Total health, mana and capacity of characters with adjusted level has been corrected.
Spellpower formula changes
- Changed formula used to calculate character's spellpower in the following way:
- level now increases spellpower by 1.3 points instead of 2 points.
- magic level now increases spellpower by: magic level^(7/5) * magic level multiplier.
- Magic level multiplier depends on character's vocation.
- Magic level multiplier of knights is 6.
- Magic level multiplier of archers is 1.8.
- Magic level multiplier of archers empowered with 'Arcane Marksmanship' spell is 2.2.
- Magic level multiplier of mages and druids is 0.85.
- Magic level multiplier of characters with no vocations is 1.
- Spellpower is further increased by knight's strength, archer's dexterity, mage's intelligence and druid's intelligence.
Knight related changes
- Range of 'Decimate' spell was decreased from 2m to 1m.
Melee fighting skill merge
Skill tries of the following skills have been merged into skill tries of a new type of fighting skill - melee fighting skill:
- fist fighting,
- club fighting,
- sword fighting,
- axe fighting.
Strength
- Most of items intended to be worn by knights now provide 'Strength' as a property.
- The same items can now also be enchanted with 'Vast Grip' attribute.
- 'Vast Grip' attribute no longer increases melee fighting skill, but instead, increases character's strength.
- One point of strength increases minimum melee weapon damage by 0.30,
- One point of strength increases maximum melee weapon damage by 0.35,
- One point of strength increases spellpower by 1.20.
- One point of strength increases 'Decimate' spell minimum damage by 0.45,
- One point of strength increases 'Decimate' spell maximum damage by 0.65,
- One point of strength increases 'Berserk' spell minimum damage by 0.5,
- One point of strength increases 'Berserk' spell maximum damage by 1,
- 'Strength' property and 'Vast Grip' attribute can only be used by knights.
Knight's Fury Gauge
- Added a new spell: 'Bloodlust Stance', taught by NPC Tvindorath in Garrogat.
- 'Bloodlust Stance' spell allows knights to generate fury gauge when blocking physical damage using two-handed weapons.
- 'Bloodlust Stance' increases attack speed of two-handed weapons by 50% and increases overall damage taken by a knight by 25%.
- Fury Gauge can be spent to cast 'Decimate' spell (cost: 50 Fury Gauge) or 'Berserk' spell (cost: 100 Fury Gauge).
Melee fighting formula changes
- Changed formulas used to determine minimum and maximum melee damage dealt with weapons:
- maximum damage: 25 + (attackSkill ^ 2) / 1550 * attackValue / attackFactor
- minimum damage (one-handed weapons): (playerLevel / 4) + (max * 0.15)
- minimum damage (two-handed weapons): (playerLevel / 2) + (max * 0.15)

Archer related changes
- Creatures forced to retarget with Camouflage spell won't try to retarget for the next 8 seconds after spell cast.
- Added the following spells: 'Arcane Marksmanship', 'Conjure Heavy Arrow' and 'Conjure Heavy Bolt', taught by NPC Ehrenfried in Garrogat.
- Added two new types of ammunition: 'heavy arrow' and 'heavy bolt'.
- Archers no longer have reduced 'Sudden Death Rune' damage.
Dexterity
- Most of items intended to be worn by archers now provide 'Dexterity' as a property.
- The same items can now also be enchanted with 'Precise' attribute.
- 'Precise' attribute no longer increases distance fighting skill, but instead, increases character's dexterity.
- One point of dexterity increases minimum distance weapon damage by 0.80,
- One point of dexterity increases maximum distance weapon damage by 1.20,
- One point of dexterity increases spellpower by 0.75.
- 'Dexterity' property and 'Precise' attribute can only be used by archers.
Distance fighting formula changes
- Changed formulas used to determine minimum and maximum melee damage dealt with weapons:
- maximum damage: 20 + (attackSkill ^ 2) / 1600 * attackValue / attackFactor
- minimum damage: playerLevel / 5 + (max * 0.20)

Hit chance formula changes
Changed formulas used to calculate hit chance of distance weapons in the following way:
- 1 tile distance: hitChance = 40 + 0.33 * skill
- 2 tile distance: hitChance = 50 + 0.44 * skill
- 3 tile distance: hitChance = 50 + 0.55 * skill
- 4 tile distance: hitChance = 40 + 0.66 * skill
- 5 tile distance: hitChance = 40 + 0.66 * skill
- 6 tile distance: hitChance = 40 + 0.55 * skill
- 7 tile distance: hitChance = 35 + 0.44 * skill
Hit chance cannot be higher than ammunition's maximum hit chance.
Hit chance is increased by weapon's hit chance, and total hit chance can exceed maximum hit chance of ammunition.
All distance weapons now use the same formula.
Mage & Druid related changes
- Removed duration of 'Magic Shield' spell.
Intelligence
- Most of items intended to be worn by mages and druids now provide 'Intelligence' as a property.
- The same items can now also be enchanted with 'Intelligence' attribute.
- 'Intelligence' attribute no longer increases magic level skill, but instead, increases character's intelligence.
- One point of intelligence increases spellpower by 1.
- 'Intelligence' property and 'Intelligence' attribute can only be used by mages and druids.
Hunting zone changes
- Adjusted spawn time of some corrupted spiders on Corrupted Island from 60 seconds to 300 seconds.
- Added a new hunting zone: "Old Church of White Light" located in Arak.
- Added a new hunting zone: "Glacius Isle" located in Forgula.
- Changed location of Ice Phoenix spawn. Ice Phoenix now spawns on the same hunting zone, but in a tower on the western part of hunting zone.
Monster changes
- Holy sentinel now casts a ranged holy missile attack, when distance to target is 2 or higher.
- Icon of light now casts a ranged holy explosion attack, when distance to target is 5 or higher.
- Increased strong paralyze potency of holy sentinel and icon of light from 80% to 90%.
- Festering corpse attacks no longer applies 'Broken Legs' status.
- Increased strong paralyze potency of festering corpse from 70% to 85%.
- Undead dragon no longer casts a magic level debuff attack.
- Changed albino dragon loot table, slightly increasing it's average drop value.
Item changes
Item level & required level
- Most of the equipment now has an assigned item level.
- Item level determines power of an item and amount of dexterity, strength or intelligence stats the item provides.
- Item level also often determines required level to gain full value of dexterity, strength or intelligence bonuses.
- Players with level lower than required will not gain full value of dexterity, strength or intelligence item provides.
- Players with level lower than required still gain full advantage of other item properties and attributes, such as item attack or armor.
- Item level and required level (or other requirements) are displayed in item's tooltip.
Due to massive amount of changes of most of the equipment, the following changes have been not listed
- Changes of item's strength property.
- Changes of item's dexterity property.
- Changes of item's intelligence property.
- Changes of item's 'Precise' attribute.
- Changes of item's 'Vast Grip' attribute.
- Changes of item's 'Intelligence' attribute.
- Changes of item's melee fighting property, which has replaced with strength property.
- Changes of item's distance fighting property, which has been replaced with dexterity property.
- Changes of item's magic level property, which has been replaced with intelligence property.
- Changes of enchanting chances of most items with item level lower than 300, and few other items. Chances have been increased.
Modified item properties, attributes or effects in the following way
Demonbone amulet
- Armor (property): 0 => 2
Annihilator (bow)
- Arrows shot with Annihilator no longer fully ignore targets' armor, but instead reduce target's armor by 15% for 6 seconds.
- Fast Hands (property): 10% => 12%
Apocalypse, Armageddon, Calamity (weapons)
- Swift Striker (property): 9% => 12%
Small Explosive Runes
- Changed spellpower modifier of 'Small Explosive Rune' to 0.15-0.35.
- It means this rune now deals from 0.15spellpower to 0.35spellpower damage.
- Now purchasable from Ebarin for 50 gold coins.
Piercing ammunition
- Piercing arrows now apply 18% armor reduction status.
- Piercing bolts now apply 22% armor reduction status.
Black crystal
- Can now be used to recharge discharged ring of purity.
Giant anniversary cake
- No longer increases melee fighting skill, distance skill and magic level.
- Now increases strength, dexterity and intelligence by 20.
Cheesy, bitter and spicy maris feasts
- All three types of these maris feasts no longer increase melee fighting skill by 3.
- All three types of these maris feasts now increase character's strength by 12.
- Cheese and bitter maris feast recipes have been replaced with spicy maris feast recipe.
- Previously knowing cheese maris feast or bitter maris feast recipe now allows to cook spicy maris feasts.
Power, sword, club, axe rings
- All four types of these rings have been replaced with melee ring.
- Melee ring no longer increase melee fighting skill by 4.
- Melee ring now increase character's strength by 8.
Green halloween potion
- No longer increases or decreases melee fighting skill, distance fighting skill or magic level.
- Now increases or decreases dexterity, strength or intelligence by 15.
Solar amulet
- No longer prevents item loss when not enchanted.
- Now enchantable with blessed sigil.
Angelic boots
- Amplify Magic Shield (5%) attribute has been replaced with Vitality (35) attribute.
Triangle star bow
- Decreased additional holy attack potency from 7% to 6% of maximum distance fighting hit.
Sacred arbalest
- Decreased additional holy attack potency from 13% to 8% of maximum distance fighting hit.
Shadowfall crossbow
- Decreased additional death attack potency from 19% to 17% of maximum distance fighting hit.
Meteorite crossbow
- Decreased additional thunder attack potency from 10% to 9% of maximum distance fighting hit.
Hailstorm
- Changed physical/ice damage ratio from 50%/50% to 75%/25%.
Chaos sword, chaos mace, chaos axe
- Decreased health drained from 20%-30% to 7%-15%.
- Decreased health percent required to perform chaos type attack from 80% to 70%.
- Increased damage output of chaos type attack.
Elephant backpack
- Now plays a backpack opening sound when opened.
