Today we would like to present you the elven city - Lucindel.
The city of thousand trees. I've been there numerous times and it never stops to amaze me. People say the first impression is made by city gates, and Lucindel makes a fabulous first impression. Huge magic entrance supported by great marble towers and walls never let even a single enemy pass to the city of the elves. Their sacred place - The Mother Tree stands tall above whole settlement, giving peace, shadow and hope for the whole elven nation. Elves are bound with nature to the limit, they can't force themselves to harm neither trees nor the sacred soil of the world. Instead, they gather around old trees and sing. The old oaks, pleased by the beautiful voices give away their branches or even dig deep into the ground and use roots to bring valuable materials up to the surface.
Elves. Creatures powerful, peaceful and old. But they won't greet a human with open arms. They treat humans as the destroyers of nature. There are even elves that are making living on killing humans - elven extremists. You need to know a single one of those can defeat a team of good soldiers. Though The King does not support their doing, everyone knows the rest of the elves support them.
But besides all these pretty treehouses, lanterns, halls and noble robes, there is yet one more thing that remains a mystery to me. The Sacred Forest.
The densest and darkest I've ever seen. Its huge and vast branches let no light to pass inside, and a simple mortal will never know what strange mysteries are lurking in The Sacred Forest, Ar'Thorn.
